Marvel didn't announce its Phase 3 film slate until October 2014, thus while some Marvel Comics fans were predicting that the MCU's Thanos would set sights on out the six Infinity Stones with his comic cassette counterpart, the public didn't know that Avengers: Infinity fighting Parts I and II (later misrepresented to Avengers: Infinity fighting and the still-untitled Avengers 4) were upon the way. But the creative minds at Marvel enormously did, and even while the Guardians of the Galaxy movies are among the more self-contained entries within the MCU, Kevin Feige and his ilk knew that the Guardians would eventually furious paths with some of the MCU's Earthbound heroes, with Iron Man.

I can't tell I blame Tony for getting thus easily annoyed. while he was focused and work his best to plan how to crush Thanos, Star-Lord and the additional Guardians took a more relaxed and virtually bored door to the coming battle. Star-Lord in particular kept getting upon Iron Man nerves, from responding that he's from Missouri with asked if he hailed from Earth (even while Missouri's upon Earth) to telling Iron Man that his plan actually sucked, as seen in the under clip.

Fortunately, eventually all the heroes upon Titan coalesced with Iron Man wanted, and they nearly succeeded in removing the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos' hand. Unfortunately, after Star-Lord became frustrated upon learning Thanos killed Gamora and started attacking the angry Titan while he was subdued, all went to hell. with Doctor strange gave up the times rock in quarrel for Iron Man innate kept alive, that was officially marked their defeat. By the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis, Spider-Man and Doctor strange were turned to dust, leaving behind Iron Man and Nebula as the only survivors upon Titan.

That said, the explanation isn't beyond yet. next-door year, Avengers 4 will work the remaining MCU heroes banding together to undo Thanos' genocide. How that will be competent is still shrouded in mystery, but by the end of the story, it's acknowledged that most, if not all of the heroes who disappeared after Thanos' snap will be brought urge on to life. Keeping that in mind, perhaps we'll be fortunate tolerable to have substitute hilarious back-and-forth between Star-Lord and Iron Man during the movie.

While nothing is 100% declared yet, it's looking with Avengers 4 will make Robert Downey Jr's departure from the MCU, thus there's one more opportunity for Iron Man to depart a memorable impact upon this franchise.
