WARNING: The later is mostly rumor and speculation, but if you don't desire to know all at every just about Star Wars: Episode IX, I'd make the hop to hyperspace out of here!

We are just about a year away from Star Wars: Episode IX and the stop of the Skywalker Saga, and to this point, trailers, teasers, endorsed photos, plot details or even a title for the film are every nonexistent. But even without any endorsed information, this is Star Wars, and consequently there are rumors and theories abound.

So as we wait to look what J.J. Abrams has in store, it's time to acknowledge a look at the various rumors and theories out there and chat out how likely they are to happen, and what effect they would have upon the film and the franchise as a combine if they did.

After examining Admiral Hux's potentially changing loyalties last time, it's now time to position the focus to the hero of this franchise, one Luke Skywalker. A rumor from a couple of months back posited that our favorite impression wizard would be preposterously powerful in Star Wars: Episode IX. How powerful? Well, according to the rumor, the upcoming film will look the Jedi Master bringing by the side of a Star Destroyer.

Yeah, that's beautiful powerful. There are a couple of oscillate aspects to this rumor and consequently oscillate reasons to think that it will or will not come to pass, but first, let's rule where we left Luke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

There is an bustle to be made that we already saw an ultra-powerful Luke Skywalker in Rian Johnson's film. Luke's display of Force-projection, casting his image across the galaxy to confront his nephew and give the spark and the distraction that the Resistance needed, was a display of ability and capacity unlike any we had seen before.

However, I think this is not what many fans were hoping for from Luke, as this capacity was not an horrible use of the Force. And the fact that it literally killed him to pull off it kind of took the wind out of the sails of this badass level of power. We know that Mark Hamill is returning for Star Wars: Episode IX, consequently that provides substitute opportunity for Luke to pull off something big. The question is if he will and what he would do.

There are two angles to this rumor, one spacious and one specific. The specific angle is that Luke Skywalker will bring by the side of a Star Destroyer in the neighboring film. This is brusquely complicated by the obvious fact that Luke is currently dead and one later the Force later his daddy past him. Right away, that is a reduction in the 'not gonna happen' column for this rumor.

Luke's death leaves lonely a few possibilities that would permit this rumor to actually appear in out: Luke isn't dead or is brought back to life, we will look this in flashbacks or Luke will pull off this as a Force Ghost.

To the first possibility, even if I can look J.J. Abrams retconning Rey's heritage (and think he will) and giving backstory upon Snoke, I essentially don't look him undoing Luke's death, either through explaining how he is still sentient or having him compensation later Gandalf at the position of the tide. It would require a lot of exposition, and even if it might appease those who be repulsed by The Last Jedi, it might as a consequence alienate those who love it.

However, the foundation of flashbacks to the Saga in Star Wars: The Force Awakens does give an avenue through which J.J. Abrams can have a booming Luke showing what he is clever of without undercutting what Rian Johnson did.

According to the rumor, Episode IX will appear in a battle greater than a sandy planet surrounded by TIE fighters and X-Wings that sees a black-cloaked figure later a mechanical hand reaching out and bringing a Star Destroyer to the ground. A scene such as this is already referenced in canon in Ken Liu's Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Legends of Luke Skywalker. That sticker album sees Luke Skywalker, brusquely after the events of compensation of the Jedi, appear in hologram form upon the bridge of the Star Destroyer past crashing it upon Jakku.

It sounds as even if the tally from the sticker album and this rumored scene could be one in the same. The Force Awakens showed Rey exploring that downed Star Destroyer and flashbacks in Episode IX could appear in us how that came to be. Such a flashback could as a consequence perhaps give us some further attachment surrounded by Rey and Luke upon Jakku.

If we are to look Luke bring by the side of a Star Destroyer in a display of awesome power, this seems to be the most likely artifice it will happen.

The last possibility is that Luke will acknowledge the Star Destroyer off the board as a Force Ghost. The Last Jedi showed Yoda impacting the bodily realm as a Force Ghost, consequently it is determined that Force Ghosts have more capacity than we later thought. Luke did as a consequence tell Kylo Ren "See you a propos kid," implying he would still be messing later him after death.

Nevertheless, it doesn't seem likely to me that a Force Ghost Luke will bring by the side of the Star Destroyer comprehensibly because having Luke pull off that even if dead would cheapen his death if he could still pull off that much damage from greater than the grave. The combine reduction of the stop of The Last Jedi is that even even if he is no longer a ration of the fight, the Resistance will go on. If anyone will be showing major Force powers in the 'present' of the story, it should be Rey.

If we ignore the specific rumor of 'Luke brings by the side of a Star Destroyer' and just question the broader question of 'Will Luke Skywalker be preposterously powerful in Episode IX I think the answer will be yes.

I pull off think Luke will appear in at least Yoda-level Force Ghost powers in Episode IX, but more than that, the possibility of flashbacks leaves the tally broad entry to appear in Luke's astonishing level of capacity post-Return of the Jedi. And I think that's exactly what J.J. Abrams will do.

The director has apparently been tasked later course-correcting the Star Wars Saga, and for many Star Wars fans, even those who liked The Last Jedi, we were expecting to look more out of Luke in this sequel trilogy. Giving us a badass Luke might be one artifice J.J. Abrams tries to fix Star Wars.

In the decades past compensation of the Jedi, we've been imagining the Force addict Luke became and have been keen to look him, green lightsaber in hand, prickly through First Order troops or the Knights of Ren, or appear in something upon the level of bringing by the side of a Star Destroyer.

J.J. Abrams is a Star Wars fan, and he didn't essentially acquire to use the franchise's hero in The Force Awakens. It will always be a question of 'What if if we don't look Luke Skywalker essentially letting at a loose end and showing the extent of his power. Flashbacks give the absolute opportunity to appear in us the Luke we've always imagined, and whether he specifically brings by the side of a Star Destroyer or not, I'm thinking we will look a preposterously powerful Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Depending what Luke does and how he does it in Episode IX, it could have the effect of either devaluing The Last Jedi or comprehensibly bringing a aficionada service-y stop to this trilogy and Saga. If we pull off look an ultra-powerful Luke, it would give fans something they've wanted to witness, even if as a consequence having Luke, who began this tally in A further Hope, go out later a bang in the Skywalker Saga's answer chapter.
